Trudiel Community Network - Mental Health Awareness
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) single mothers face a unique set of circumstances that can make their parenting journey more difficult than that of their peers. Lack of extended family assistance, limited access to childcare, language and cultural differences, socio-economic disparities; these pressures can often present overwhelming issues for BAME single mothers.

Trudiel Community Network partners with organisations that support lone parents in Chesterfield to develop and deliver peer support groups. The project was developed following the need for support for lone parents, including during pregnancy. The benefit of peer support networks for the emotional well-being of lone parents and their desire for more support plays a crucial role in our assistance.

We work towards good mental health for all; as everyone knows, prevention is better than cure. Everything we do is focused on protecting people's mental health.
